Every winter for the last number of years we have gone on one or two skiing holidays. As we can only go at New Year (before much snow has fallen), or at Easter (after most of it has melted), we normally go to one the extensive high French ski areas, where there is a better chance of getting good snow cover. The places we have been to most often are:
We have also been to Les Arcs and Risoul in France, and once to Vail in Colorado.
We have booked to go to Tignes (Lavachet apartments) this year for the week beginning Saturday 28th December, so if you keep an eye on the webcams on the Tignes and Val d'Isère websites during that week you might spot us - or at least see what sort of weather we're getting!
